The project builds decision-support models for bed management and theatre scheduling at a regional hospital, using operations research and discrete-event simulation.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong quantitative masters (operations research, statistics, computer science, industrial engineering or similar), programming skill in Python or Julia, and an interest in health systems.
The scholarship covers fees and a stipend for three years. International applicants are welcome; the University's PhD admission requirements apply.
Applications are screened by a panel against a rubric, then shortlisted candidates are interviewed online.
